West End Green

Following on from three previous phases undertaken by H Smith, this project included removal of asbestos and pigeon guano prior to structural demolition of a four-storey reinforced concrete garage building and various timber floored and beam and pot domestic and office buildings. Directly opposite the high security Paddington Police Station, significant liasion with the Police was required and the site was accessed through a busy public car park. The project involved temporary supports to two suspect adjoining buildings, requiring delicate techniques and highly experienced operatives.
