University of Bedfordshire - Phase 2 Enabling Works

Asbestos removal, soft-strip and demolition of the former student’s union building located at the University of Bedfordshire’s Luton Campus.

Works included site hoardings, isolation and draining down of all mechanical and electrical services, demolition of structures down to and including footings and foundations, blocking up of redundant doorways and link tunnels, general site clearance, reduce level dig and archaeological attendance.

All works were undertaken directly next door to the live University Campus, day nursery and Third Party property. Specialist saw cutting techniques used to minimise the impact on surround, adjacent buildings.
