Nuclear Demolition
This is an exacting field of operation that we are keen to further our involvement in.
We are active members of the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA) and are able to offer far more than just a bespoke 'demolition' service.
We offer clients and contractors alike a skilled and qualified work-force able to undertake all decommissioning and demolition in radiologically controlled sites as well as asbestos removal and associated construction.
We have operatives trained in Basic Radiation Protection (BRP) and Radiological Protection Supervisors (RPS) as well as registered as Classified Workers. We retain a Radiological Protection Advisor (RPA) and an Approved Dosimetry Service (ADS). All staff are Suitably Qualified Experienced Personnel (SQEP).
A special example of where we combined many of our skills on a Nuclear licensed site was at the Hammersmith Imanet Cyclotron site where we undertook specialist demolition and extensive construction.
We have undertaken projects under the IIR Regulations - most recently at Hammersmith Cyclotron Project and more recently for the decommissioning of B336.3 at UKAEA, Harwell where we were commissioned to undertake Safety Case study followed by decommissioning of the building itself.
We have the techniques available to decommission any plant or structure by a variety of means including remote controlled plant and specialist cutting in consultation with our RPA
